Scan ‘n Cut, Simply Applique, & Machine Embroidery Applique, Bountiful Blessings
Ready to learn how to complete an all-encompassing machine embroidery applique project, including using a Brother Scan ‘N Cut machine & your laptop? Then Lori Holt’s Bountiful Blessings Mini Quilt project is for you. Over the course of three classes, we will be doing the following: Set up the applique pieces for scanning. The scanned files will be used to cut out each of the 119 applique pieces from fabric. We will also use the same files, along with Brother CanvasWorkspace & Simply Applique software programs to turn these into a PES machine embroidery file. The PES files will be used to stitch down the applique pieces on your mini quilt. The finished wall hanging is 24.5” x 28.5”.

| Requirements: | For the FIRST CLASS - Laptop with Windows 10 or 11, cord, & mouse. Purchase a copy of Simply Applique if not installed on your laptop. If a copy was previously purchased, bring the brochure with the code. Purchase a copy of the pattern, Bountiful Blessings Sew Simple Shapes, along with the fabric. You can either purchase 5” & 10” square sets OR the Fat Quarter bundle. Also, 1 yard of Heat N Bond Lite. If you own one, your Scan N Cut machine plus cord, scanning mat, light tack mat, SnC rotary blade, & 404 Adhesive. A rotary cutter, scissors, personal iron & mat, pins / clips, other notions as needed. At the first class, we will discuss what’s needed for the embroidery part of the class. Supply list will be emailed and will ablso be available in Honey Run Quilters. |
