Beginning Quilt Piecing
This class will cover the basics of how to read a quilt pattern, how to use rotary cutters and rulers to cut pieces, and how to sew a simple quilt.

Requirements: | Prior to class, student should purchase fabric, thread, rotary cutter, scissors, seam ripper, and small 12x18 cutting mat. Supply list will be available in Honey Run Quilters. |

Instructor Bio: | Patti Taylor is an avid quilter, having many years of experience in various fiber and fabric arts. She learned to sew on her mother's Singer Featherweight--which she still has-- at the age of 9, eventually making most of her own clothes through high school and college, as well as learning needlepoint, cross stitch and tatting. She made her 1st quilt in 1979 but didn't really get involved with the hobby until 1992--and it's been non-stop ever since! Patti has taught sewing and quilting to various age levels from Mini-4H to adults in both small and large group settings including 10 years teaching high school Home Ec. |
