Sewing and Design Juniors Summer Camp (Ages 13-17)

This 4 day sewing and design camp will provide students an opportunity to interact with the fundamental principles of clothing construction and design. We will complete 1 project as our journey through these lessons. My intention is to teach the principles needed to approach a variety of designs with quality outcomes.

Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: Welcoming all skill levels for ages 13-17
Materials Included: Snacks will be provided. Please inform instructor of any food allergies. Some fabrics will be available to choose from and can be purchased at Honey Run Quilters. Class Packet
Requirements: Measuring Tape Pen and Pencil Sketchpad Scissors Tape
Instructor: Lindsay Brothers
Instructor Bio: Starting at age 11, with sketches and a passion for sewing, her early opportunities were comprised of local fashion shows, wedding dress design/construction, working at a fabric store, and other jobs. Then, after owning and operating a local specialty coffee business, she returned to her passion for sewing and became a sewing machine repair technician. She currently works to assist the Chico State Costume Shop Manager in supporting HFA theatre arts and musical productions and the CSU costume rental program. Bringing sketches to life and making sure that sewing machines are running smoothly in the costume shop, she also works with student staff to produce meaningful projects.
