Machine Embroidery 101



Janice will show you machine embroidery basics and how to get off on the right foot with machine embroidery.  For newbies and those who would like a refresher course.  A few of the items you will learn about are:
How to download designs from internet and a CD
All about stabilizers
Hooping
How to add words to your designs
How to modify your designs
Machine maintenance
plus lots more!

Persons new to machine embroidery, those who would like a refresher course and those of you who just want to learn more about machine embroidery techniques.
Requirements:
Machine is good working order, manual, cords, embroidery foot, all hoops and hoop grids that came with your machine, Be sure to bring your 5x7 as this is what we will be working with. Fat Quarter of canvas material Fat quarter of plain colored quilters cotton, Washcloth (new please). Stabalizers: no show poly mesh, woven interfacing such as Pellon Woven Interfacing for garment sewing, H2O topper, wash away stabilizer, medium weight cutaway. Bobbins, embroidery thread, 75/11, 90/14 needles. We will use designs that are on your embroidery machine to stitch out some examples. Pen & paper for note taking
