Free Motion Quilting 101A



This is the class for the beginning machine quilter and will cover the basics of free-motion machine quilting.

You will learn:
• How to baste a quilt
• How to set up your machine for free motion quilting
• Easy, beginner stitches such as
o Stippling
o e’s and l’s
o Loops
o Waves
o Ribbons
o Railroad Tracks
o Ribbon Candy variation

And if time permits, you will learn:
o Echo
o Waves & v’s
o Waves and e’s & l’s


Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: No free motion skills needed.
Requirements: EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Students must have a sewing machine in good operating condition, know how to operate their machine, have a free-motion or darning foot, and have their sewing machine manual with them. Supply list is available in HoneyRun
