Serger 101B



This is part two of a three part Beginning Serger course. You will learn basic serger techniques and you will complete a small project using the skills you will learn in the class.

Janice has set up the perfect curriculum for learning your serger.  You must know how to thread your machines for the basic four thread and three thread stitches.   
 
In these classes, you will go over:
* the machine parts
* what the numbers on the dials and the "M" mean
* pressure foot adjustments
* tuning options for your tensions
* basic needle and thread information
* Stitch width and length
* 3 Thread wide and narrow
* 4 Thread wide
* Rolled Hem

Techniques to be covered:
* Inside and Outside corners
* Starting and stopping mid seam
* Beginning and ending a seam while hiding tail thread
* Wrapped and turned corner
* Seam sealant
