My Harry is a very flamboyant heron that lives in the colorful New Orleans bayous. You can make him in your favorite bright prints and jewels and embellish him as you might for a float in a Mardi Gras parade or in more realistic colors of blues and grays for a wade in the swamps.
Webster's definition of "collage" is "bits of objects glued to a surface to make a work of art." I have taken classes in several interpretations of the collage process and have concluded that there is no one way to construct a collage project. The process I have found most comfortable for me is a combination of fusing and gluing. I also need more structure so I use freezer paper templates when I feel the need. You are free to explore any of the processes I demonstrate and find the one that works best for you.
